# Quickstart

> Get productive in Surfaice in a few steps: sign in, confirm workspace access, connect what you need, and run a first task.

This guide gets a new user from invitation to a first useful result. If you have not read it yet, start with [What is Surfaice?](/concepts/what-is-surfaice) — it explains how **Hugo** (the in-app agent) fits into the workspace.

<Note>
  **Security or compliance reviewer?** Start with [Trust FAQ](/concepts/trust-faq) and the canonical [security page](https://www.surfaice.pro/security) instead of this quickstart.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the app">
    Go to [agent.surfaice.pro](https://agent.surfaice.pro) and sign in with the identity provider your company configured (for example Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm your workspace">
    Your administrator places you in a customer workspace. If you see no workspace, contact your Surfaice admin or [support](/support).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect systems you are allowed to use">
    Open connectors for the tools your role can access — for example Outlook for your own mailbox, or SharePoint sites your IT team approved. See [Connectors](/guides/connectors).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run a first task">
    Open **Chat** and ask Hugo something concrete — for example, *"What are the renewal options for store 1842?"* — or open a skill such as lease abstraction and upload a lease PDF your team already works with.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review before you trust">
    Treat first outputs as drafts. Check cited sources, correct anything wrong, and save only what you intend to keep in the workspace.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Surfaice inherits your existing permissions in connected systems. It does not expand access beyond what your role already has in systems of record — for example Lucernex for leases, SharePoint for files, or email.
